Farmstead cheese was what inspired us to begin farming in the first place. And it remains an integral part of Big Picture Farm's work and identity. Made with our own raw delicious milk once or twice per week from April through September, our cheese does the best to reflect the true beauty of our goat's milk. Both Sonnet and Haiku are alpine-style, cave-aged, raw milk and natural-rind tommes that age in our caves anywhere from 3 to 6 months (sometimes longer). We only make about 200-250 wheels annually -- which means there is only a limited amount for sale online. We are proud to announce that Sonnet was judged to be a 2014 American Cheese Society Winner.
