Surrounded by flower and vegetable gardens, the Colt Barn is a beautiful rustic-meets-contemporary, barn-meets-gallery gem located on the Big Picture Farm property near the historic barn and farmstead cheese/caramel operation. It features two bedrooms each with a luxurious king bed and fancy white Matouk Linens and down pillows and comforters. The downstairs kitchen is bright and airy and clean and well appointed.The first floor features an expansive chef's kitchen, dining table, and built-in seating area, as well as a living room (with couch and smart tv), and the bathroom (newly renovated to include tiled walk-in shower with rain shower system). The two bedrooms upstairs are separated by a long hallway furnished with an area rug and desk.

Indoor Spaces
The gorgeous and spacious kitchen features a gas range, dishwasher, new LG fridge/freezer unit, as well as a farmhouse sink and dishwasher.
Bedroom 1 features a King mattress on a platform bed with goose down pillows and Matouk linens. A mini-split perched above the window keeps the room cool even in the dog days of summer.
Almost identical to Bedroom 1 -- Luxury king mattress on platform bed with Matouk linens and down pillows/duvet. The skylights are equipped with screens and can be opened for cross breeze.
An expansive farmhouse deck featuring natural shade from towering maple trees, cozy outdoor seating, string lights, and beautiful views of the backyard that provide exceptional sunsets.

Stratton is our family's go-to mountain come winter, but we are also between 30-40 minutes from a number of other alpine ski destinations, including Mt. Snow, Bromley, Magic Mountain, and Okemo.
One can enjoy trailblazing trails on farm with backcountry skis, but there are also excellent nordic centers offering groomed trails nearby, including Grafton Ponds, Wild Wings, Brattleboro Outing Club, and Stratton Nordic Center.
When the conditions are right, our beaver pond becomes the most incredible ice skating experience in all of New England. When its not perfect at the farm, the Retreat Farm in Brattleboro is a popular skating destination once the river freezes over.
We have several sets of adult and child-sized snowshoes for those of you who wish to explore the wintry terrain right here on the farm without having to drive to an outdoor center.
